Hi to all, am really excited to join this forum!

I'm a new parrot owner, having recently acquired my beautiful (but insane) Alex called Oskie.

I've been living in New Zealand for about 3 years, but am originally from South Wales. A couple of months ago I got the bestest, loudest birthday present ever in the form of Oskie. Suffice to say, my husband immediately regretted buying him as Oskie hates him with a vengeance.

Have already gained heaps of useful info from these forums, and am looking forward to getting to know you all! Now I need to go, as Oskie is attempting to eat both my toast and my keyboard at the same time....

Welcome to the forum We considered moving to NZ, but we already had birds so went off the idea, now retiring to Tasmania (which has a similar climate to NZ but no sharp mountains and the blue glacial water of South Island).
