Hello parrot people , I’m loving your forum been reading and enjoying the stories and wonderful ideas. I am 42 and just got my very own female eclectus. I grew up with birds and know a lot of old school stuff, my parents have an African grey and a cockatoo both older then me. I wasn’t fortunate enough to be financially stable so it took a couple decades lol . April was born January 1 this year we drove out of state every weekend to visit till we got to bring her home a little over 2 weeks ago . She is so sweet. I choose the eclectus for many reasons one was to have a talking companion not so much a love sponge. She sits and hangs out with me while I finish sewing my orders and we get around all over town , surprisingly she seems up for anything , I can already here her practicing her words and sounding them out right before bed as all parrots seem to do . I just love her, she has met my parents kids and seems to have a lot more to say those nights! I just wanted to say hello all and so excited to be on this journey with all of you
