Howdy
My name is Jackie and I live in sunny Perth, Western Australia.
I am in the process of building an aviary in the garden and have over 25 years experience with Australian natives such as Budgerigars and finches.
I recently acquired another Aussie........a baby pink and grey Galah called Gandalf.
S/he was hand reared and so is hand tame but not quite used to us so isn't trained yet.
Because s/he is only young its sex isnt evident yet and may not be for at least another year so am getting it DNA sexed next week so that I can get a suitable companion and possible mate for the future.
Its my first foray into cockatoos and so I am learning lots.
There are already issues so plan to post in the cockatoo forum.
Great to be here although where is the Galah smilie?????
