i have uploaded two photos of my parott moeses can anyone tell me what breed he is, he was a gift from special friend. he has a funny character, if you look in photos under other meds40.many thanks.

Just took a peek, how big is Moses? From beak to tail, a guess is fine ... and does he have a long tail or a short tail, can't really tell from the pictures ...

I have a guess and it looks like some hybrid conure, but I am sure that if Zaraphia takes a peak she'll know, she's really good that way ...

Hi Texdot 33, moses is about 9inc long, i have put a new photo of him with tail.

If hes the one on the photo gallery he is a kakariki. THey come from New Zeland and they are neat little birds. I used to have one I kept with a group of cockatiels and they all got along great. I'll get back with you on the species, gotta look it up.

Hey, you earned that one kid ... I hadn't the foggiest idea what it was ...

As I looked through Parrots of the World, I was struck by the sheer numbers of species of parrots I have never seen. For example look up pygmy parrots sometime. Beautiful little avian gems and I have no idea what they really look like, or sound like, or act like. Kinda makes me sad.
