hi all my name is Kev , i live in the UK just outside Darlington in the north east , i have owned several Small parrots for several years and have currently just finished off weaning a yellow sided conure hen which is going to be our house pet , typical conure silly tame and affectionate now 11 weeks and just starting to try push the boundary by giving the odd nip but is learning when it gets put back in cage and ignored ,
i am also in the process of building a 19ft aviary and should be finished in the next day or so just a bit of boarding to do inside the shed , aviary is a 12ft x 6 x 6 roofed flight with a 7 x 5 shed on one end , currently not set in stone what i am going to be putting in it but am thinking of an all Australian setup maybe Rosella , Kakariki and pair of Galah and maybe a few quail on the ground to pick up the spills

will put pics up in a week or so when i have perches and tree branches in , thinking of maybe a small water feature but will be a faff on trying to keep wires out of beaks way , i used to always be against colony breeding but in recent years a friend and prob one of the uks top parrot breeders has done better than most years by breeding in colony which he found out by accident as he wasn't very well and tried a colony system for ease and above was best year ever

Hey kev welcome to the forums I live in newton aycliffe we own a silly tame 5 month old Senegal named Georgie who belongs to my mother and in a months time I will be the proud owner of a 13-14 week old blue fronted amazon glad to finally have a member who lives close

hi mate i live in middleton st george so not far away at all is the amazon going to be a house pet or outside , they are very intelligent birds and id love to own a pair of them but my neighbors might have something to say about them they are one of the few parrots that can talk very clear and very loud were as most parrots talk a little quite compared there normal vocals you getting hen or **** bird

Yeah she's going to be a pet and a well trained one if i do say so myself I am a new bird owner but I have spent months and months reaserching the amazon and that's why i have chosen to get one
