I meant to respond to the last two threads (extremely sorry for my outburst and stubbornness) but I was taking time to de-stress and relax a bit more. I was also getting ready to go back to school unfortunately as well as preparing for my grandma's funeral.
So update: NO BIRDS for a while for me. However, I'm contacting breeders or trying to to meet different species of parrots and intently researching more and more. And in the next month I'll be signing up for a club just to be around more parrots :32: . I'm not thinking of another bird until AT LEAST March which will hopefully be because I'm getting a Senegal
, (probably will be a dream I keep thinking will happen). I also still don't want to go to a therapist since I've calmed down more, the funeral helped give me some closing.
In the mean time, I have plans to start making bird toys, to cut down on the costs of the extremely expensive toys, which my mom is extremely supportive on and wants me to go to a craft fair haha. We've been going to a few pet shops looking for "examples" or what I call "freebies". If I do become a vendor I'll be focusing more on small-medium parrots. And larger toys on request. But I plan on keeping it in Honolulu, no shipping, since it will be for mostly friends, me, and maybe owners for a club here.
Speaking of making things, atm I'm researching how to make DIY play gyms and calculating some of the costs since I have a specific standards for playstands. My dream is to make a MANSION, three level, playgym with a 3x4 base with natural and dowel perches.
