What about using a plant mister instead? Maybe even running the vacuum while spraying him?

And my oh my, does he have a deep voice!

that was a plant mister it was the smallest one I have

That's not the kind of mister I was talking about.... I mean one of those that you pump to create pressure in, then hit a release valve so that there is a continuous supply of water coming out of it until the pressure is gone.

Does that make sense?

Birds who may not like a regular mister may be fine with the pump spray kind. Maybe Smokey might be one of those kind of birds?
