Here is Sunny...

Well I got him last night.He is sweet and just gorgeous.I will be changing his name.
He doesnt step up but I was able to scoop him up off the lady and hold him.He was fine and doesnt bite at all.

He is in a temporary cage.So it is small but he will be okay for awhile until he gets to come into the livingroom with the rest the birds.

He is very well socialized, they live in Army housing and lots and lots of people coming and going so he was held alot by everyone.
Now for the not so good.
He is a squawker. She spoiled him rotten and he was on her 24/7, then she had a baby and got a job.So he begs constantly to come out and squawks too.
BUT its not a scream like I was prepared for.Its really not so bad, annoying but not intolerable.
They fed him really crummy food and lots and lots of shelled peanuts.

But he did take a blueberry from me this morning.

Thanks everyone, he is pretty.I cant stop looking at him.
He begs to come out, sits at the door and does that begging thing with his wings.But when I open the cage he runs to the back.
My greenie bit me this morning too, very jealous already.


Names Im considering..Nacho (when my son saw him he said he looks like a nacho cheese doritoes),,Or maybe Fuego. IDK havent quite decided.

Congrats, he's a beauty. My baby boy (14 wks), Sunny says "hi" as well. I wonder how many Sun Conures are named, "Sunny", lol.

Thanks everyone.I am calling him Nacho now. He is doing good.Bouts of noise and then quiet..I was worried everyone kept saying they are so loud.But seriously he is tolerable.
When I took care of an amazon once, that thing made me jump on a daily basis he was so loud. That is what I was expecting.But although the Suns call isnt a pretty sound like the tiels its not sooo loud.
Im sure I will have days when he will annoy the heck out of me but my hubby does too and I havent put him up for adoption yet(LOL)..

I like Fuego because of his colors (it does mean fire, right?). I think a lot of sun conures are named Sunny and Mango, lol.
