Henry update

Greetings everyone:

First of all, I can't tell you how much I appreciate the posts/messages I've received concerning Henry and all the good wishes sent his way.

From my personal observations, he's been improving every day. I had him as a "9" on the 1 - 10 scale.

We went to the vet this morning, and the preliminary results are very encouraging. Red blood cell count up, heart rate fine, etc. The data has been sent to the avian pathologist; we should get a clearer picture of how Henry is doing tomorrow.

It's been a bit of a long haul and it's been an emotional one at times, but Henry seems to have definitely turned the corner.

Certainly, the fact that millionaire playboy Henry T. Caique feels well enough to change into BatBird and defend Gotham City from the nefarious schemes of the evil ElizaGrrrrl is a very good sign:

The truth is that my house is an open-floor plan. Meaning this photo was taken from the kitchen. Meaning they interrupted their game to look at me and see if I was getting ready to cook something. Sigh...

Ya got me on that one. It's either that, or they pretty ignore me unless they need to get somewhere. Shakespeare clearly owned caiques; this is from the rarely-seen first draft of "As You Like It":

Well, I'D certaintly want to attend! I have no idea how Eliza and Henry would do at all the events; however, I can pretty much guarantee who will be the first two in line at the buffet...

If they replaced the stuffed rabbit they use in greyhound racing with a microwave that's constantly ringing, I'll bet my house on Eliza and Henry in all the caique racing events.
