Hi All, I have a pair of suns, 3 years old. This is there second season with a nest box, last year laid three clear eggs, this year they have laid again but the hen is a very light sitter.
They are housed in 5m x 1.2m long flight by themselves, but whenever you go near the flight she is straight out of the box and up to the front with the male. i dont think the male is feeding her either. they both sleep in the box ant night.
Realise that young pairs can take a while to get it right, but will she learn to sit better? - or are they destined to be an unsuccessful pair. Both were hand reared.
