Im looking for some good books to help train and really everything to help with the blue and gold macaw im going to be getting.

My best advice would be to go down to a local rescue, and actually handle them. Most rescues have bird handling classes either free or for a nominal fee...

This, to me, is a hands on thing.

Parrots for Dummies (Nikki Moustaki) is an excellent book for both beginners and experienced birders. Other than that it wouldn't hurt to go to your local library and get as much as you can on the subject.

Anything by Barbara Heidenreich, Melinda Johnson and Karen Pryor. DVD's or books! You can also get ebooks and digital media!

I am waiting for a B & G macaw. In the meantime I have been searching the internet for info. There is a ton of useful ijfo on the web & through Utube. Check it out when U get a chance.
