Dino has laid an egg. I dont want babies! IM TOO YOUNG TO BE A GRANDMOTHER!!! So taking the egg won't stress her out will it? It's in between bars and shes doing everything in her power to sit on it.

lol. Well not all eggs have birds in them. Female birds lay eggs even without a mate. I don't know about taking the egg out, though. Crimson could help you out with this.

If they arent fertile just let her sit and then take the eggs out when she looses interest she may get mean during this period as her mom instincts will kick in.

Is there a chance the egg is fertile? Is Dino in a cage with a male? If she is alone, laying eggs is normal, and you should just leave the egg there and let her take care of it, she will tire of it after a while and then you can dispose of it. If you remove the egg that would most likely cause her to lay more - this happened to me recently where I kept removing the eggs (my pair of lovebirds are full brother and sister from different clutches - I can't allow them to hatch) and she ended up laying 8 eggs. You can buy fake eggs that you can switch them out with:

DummyEggs.com Sells Plastic Dummy Birds Eggs, Nest Bowl Kits, Plastic Fake Bird Eggs for Sale, Immitation Plastic Bird's Eggs, Fake Bird Eggs, Artificial Dummy Bird Eggs, Stop Bird Breeding, Egg Laying. Plastic egg reproductions for Cockatiel, Lovebi

If worse comes to worse you can hard boil the egg she laid and put it back with her to care for until she tired of it. It is quite possible she will lay some more eggs, most likely one every other day, until she is done - so just be prepared for that.

I agree with Marcia, just leave her be, she's happy right now.

I have a female cockatiel(Angus) who lays every other day, and they are not fertile, when she looses interest I remove them.
