NSW south coast, Australia
Parrots
Bo the Hahn's macaw.
Cosmo the Eclectus.
Cockatiels Artie and Fergus.
Smurfette the blue Quaker.
I was hoping to get the DNA results on my Hahn's macaw back by Christmas, especially since I sent it in plenty of time (according to their website anyway). So now I have to wait until next year, but this poor bird needs a name. I had given it a temporary nickname and I looked it up, thinking maybe it would stick, only to find that it's the name of three terrorists.

So I need a unisex name!

Are you looking for something that is traditionally a people name such as Billy/Billie or Bobby/Bobbie or are you looking for something like Jellybean, Pumpkin, or Shamrock?

Probably something a little different. I've thought about Monet, Inca and Rio, but nothing sticks.

He is such a cutie! I know its a bit stupid but with that bright green colour and the "mask" over the eyes, the name that comes to min for me is Green Lantern! LOL!

Lol, my husband suggested Green Arrow, but when I think of Arrow I think of the show.

I did think of Verde, but my grandmother had a dog called that, for some reason.

Your bird is beautiful such wonderful colouring

I love the names -
Kiwi
Angel
Phoenix
Skittles
Paco

Thanks. I forgot to add that s/he is very placid. She got a her foot tangled in my necklace today (I don't usually wear one around them because they like to chew them, but today I did because it's Christmas Day here) I had to unclasp the chain and take it off. S/he was super calm and only. I bled my finger. I was waiting for a panic and it didn't come.

So a name that reflects his/her personality would be good!

So after weeks and weeks of thought, I've settled on a name- Bo. Officially short for Boeing, but also Bossy-Bo, Bozo, etc.

To late...I was going to suggest "Bandit".
