I am going to build a parrot gym for my YNA what size PVC should I use? I am thinking 1" but they say it all depende on the bird and the size of thei foor??? So I need help what size PVC should I buy????:green2:

I bought Pete 3/4" CVPC for his shower perch. I wrapped it with vet wrap though, so I took that into account that it would get "bigger". I also wanted him to be able to grip that well.

For play gyms and perches.I use old floor lamps with heavy bases and add a wooden perch to the top.Generally speaking bigger is better, i'd use 1 1/4 "dia for an amazon. If your using PVC use alitttle smaller and the vet wrap is good , so they can get a grip. You'd like to see their foot go about 75% of the way around what ever perch you use.

Well after two trips to Home Depot its done I ran out of vet wrap nso she cant get oniy I dont want her to fall what do I do about the purple glue that dripped down the pvc... I cant find anything that will take it off and I dont want her on it what if it makes her sick would it be ok if I just cover it with vet wrap

You can use sandpaper and sand off the extra glue, maybe even scrape it off first.

when I made my PVC gyms, I only put the glue inside the fittingss and only used a small amount so there were no drips. You might also wrap the perches in sisal and cotton ropes in addition to the vet wrap so there are different textures for your bird.
