Help/thoughts?

I "adopted" a female Quaker a week ago. Her new cage came today. It's just like the cage I got for the baby Quaker and since she's been here, she's taken a great interest in the baby cage, including perching on top of it. Normally when I opened her old cage, she would come right out and explore. Since I've introduced her to her cage @4 hours ago, she's been loud and active, nor does she want to come out. Here's a video of a bit of what she's doing.. ok, as soon as I do all this, she comes out of her cage and flies to me! Jeez.. so is this a happy bird or one who is out of sorts b/c of her new cage? This new cage is much bigger and interactive than her old one.

Give her some time to settle in. She is probably just getting used to it. If you want, you could put the old cage right next to it and leave both doors open so she can go back and forth for awhile until she gets used to her new digs. Think of it like moving to a new house... except no one told you that you were moving and you had never seen it before moving there. We would all take awhile to adjust!

Apparently she's very comfortable in her new crib and her old cage is forgotten! FYI- she willingly went into the new cage and still had her old cage accessible to her. But she hasn't even looked at the old one. She's been making herself at home and even took a bath in her water bowl (after days of giving her a bigger bathing bowl which she refused to use). I think she's good! Her behavior was just really unusual that first day but after she came out, she was her sociable self.
