A lovebird called snowblau hand-tamed by myself
Hello,

It is Saturday today and all vets in my area are closed till Monday because of labor day.

I need some urgent help. My whiteface pied cockatiel is sleeping at tge bottom of his cage todaywith his head tucked at the back.

I noticed his poop is yellowish white which is not normal.

Is there anything I can do? What could be the reason? I got some antibiotic which the vet prescribed for another bird a few days ago. I completed the course and have enough to give another course. The antibiotic is amoxycilin. Please help with your experience. I know you are not vets but your experience may save my bird. Please help

I am posting some pictures of the bird

Clean the csge well. Provide warmth. Turn your home warmer if you have to. Yiu can put a towel on one outside sude of cage then a heating pad then a towel again. To radiant warmth. Don't out him on heating pad tho they are to weak to move away. Just have it on the outside.

Never add vitamin to water. You don't do that do you?

I'm unsure of yellow poop like that. But thus us critically sick bird. You need to find an on call avian vet if at all possible. Sime will do video consultation.

You can let him sit in a towel in the csfe to help stay Warmer.

You can get baby bird formula, and make it so it's like yogurt constancy and offer a little at time if will take it. Don't force. I used a 1ml syringe and dropped a few drops at a time, but mine wanted it. If will take fint give more than 3ml in a feeding, and offer every 2-3hours during normal awake time. Maybe 4 feeding a day total.

Offer millet spray right. Y him and any foods he likes and will eat.

Warmth is very important. Trying to keep them around 85f . Warmth helps them save energy, and fight illness.

You have to get veterinarian help to save him. I'm so sorry he is so sick. It takes a lot to save them at this point.

How many birds do you have? Did you quarantine new arrivals? What do you feed them?

Every bird you have will need to be checked out. If this is a disease all the birds have been exposed, and need treatment

Do not have a sick bird cage on top of another bird. Best to move sick burd to its own room incase contagious.

Yellow always makes me think liver. But I haven't seen anything like this before

In my opinion, any of the vets listed here should be better than a regular vet.
