help get parrot to stay on cage

OK my goffins cockatoo is 27 yrs old. We have moved about 8 months ago. She lived with my boyfriend and I for 12 years in one place. Her cage is in a quiet room to give us a break. If her cage is in the area we frequent alls she wants to
do is jump on my shoulder. There, she is quiet, content and calm.
If I move to put her on her cage, not in it, she screams . If I put her IN it, she has same reaction. If I cover her, which she likes in the PM, she still screams. It is unacceptable in my condo community and can get me kicked out. HELP!
It is too late to say, dont put her on my shoulder...Yes, she has plenty of food, water, treats, toys in and on her cage. I put on music which sometimes works but not always.I adore her and do not want to be angry with her. I calmly put her back with no reaction at all.

She wants you then above all else, keep her in the room you are spending your time in. I keep a rope swing in my living room and she stays on that a lot of the time, and sometimes with me.
Rather than lose your home you need to look for the compromise together. Hope you sort it out

I totally agree, her cage needs to be in the main-room of your house where you guys spend most of your time when you're home, not in that back room alone, that's the reason she's screaming, because she knows that now that her cage is back there in that room, when you go to put her in it or on it that means that she's going to be in that room alone while you guys (he Flock) are out in the main room without her...And quite honestly, I would imagine that her time in that back room in or on her cage is miserable for her whether she's screaming or not...

I understand about needing "a break" from your CAG, I grew up with one and I have 4 larger parrots, 8 Budgies, and a Dove right now, so I always have at least one lump of feathers and a beak on me at all times, but CAG's are just way too intelligent and way to needy to put their cage in a back room away from their Flock...She knows what's going on and she doesn't like it at all, and to be completely honest with you, I'd be really concerned about her starting to pluck if you don't move her cage back into the main-room ASAP...
