Hi! I'm new to this forum! I'm going to be getting a conure in July to become an emotional support animal, I am currently searching for a young conure (must be weaned) that's cuddly and relatively quiet volume wise (chattery is welcome! my mother and I suffer from chronic migraines and can't handle too much screaming, some is okay, and is welcome for the bird to scream in response to fear or any way it would help us understand the bird's needs). I'm excited about any tips on harness training, cleaning, good fresh foods, and pellets, and any training or trick tips! as well as excited to make friends! I'm from the st. Augustine Florida area and if anyone is looking for bird playmates I would be thrilled to meet some people too!

Welcome to you and your future conure, thanks for comprehensive introduction! Kudos for "must be weaned" modifier, a critically important factor. Guessing you've done research and understand the benefits of fully weaned companion parrot.

Conures are an ideal parrot for many of your parameters. All parrots are capable of screaming, you'll have to evaluate how much is acceptable vs harmful irritant. If you don't have much experience with birds, spending time or volunteering at sanctuary, shelter, or breeder an excellent opportunity for full disclosure!

You may have received an assortment of links from the moderator who sent "welcome" message; here are a few helpful selections:

Hello and welcome! If you are up to a drive, there is a mom and pop pet shop that redefines, ‘WOW’! LEESBURG Pet Center! They hand raise all their birds and even their budgies allow you to pick them up! FYI, their prices would more than pay for your gas! I have seen blue Quakers there for 250-300$, our local Petco asks $800!
