My wife and I refer to our collection of feathered companions as our bird haven. This is due in part to our passion for creating an environment that allows the birds to thrive in our home.

In addition to the birds that live in our home, we have an aviary in our backyard that houses Lineolated Parakeets, Princess of Wales, Rock Pebblers & Cockatiels.

Hello welcome to the forum. I think you will learn alot. I have..lol. I also think you will have fun.:D

Welcome!!! That sure is some big feather flock you got there!!!!

Lots of friendly members and fun everywhere!!! Don't be afraid to ask for anything.

Also, we love pictures of the flock :)

Welcome ...what a wonderful set up. We Midwesterners with bad winters are jealous! Congratulations on your Rangers making the series from a depressed Cardinals fan.

Thanks! I know a little about the cold as I consider myself to be a "weather refugee!"

Today the weather was approximately 85 degrees! The month of October was very pleasant, making up for the summer that was too hot!

My wife is the baseball fan in the family and she is enjoying the series!

I was working on the aviary today getting it ready for winter. I believe we are ready! I took some pictures but I haven't sent them to my computer yet. I will try to post some pictures this week.

We're practically neighbors!

Thanks for the welcome! I look forward to learning a lot on the site. Most days I have more questions than answers! But that's what makes it interesting!

I will post some pictures soon. Hopefully this week.

Are you getting the strong North wind over your way?! I was out tending to the birds this morning and it was a tad chilly! The birds are doing well though because they are out of the wind and they have a heater. :blue2:

Sorry, I haven't been on in a while, it has been a combination of computer issues, travel, work etcetera. The birds have also been keeping us busy. We have been working for some time now converting the garage into a bird room and it is starting to come together. I posted some pictures and updates to the blog we keep on the birds...

We also had a very enjoyable trip to Costa Rica which was a nice break! It was a pretty cool experience to be relaxing in the pool and see a Scarlet Macaw glide into view and roost in tree nearby!
