Hi all! I'm very happy be able to join here: I really appreciate all the support and help you give each other, with of course some fun thrown in here and there

My husband and I brought home the new member of our family: Luigi, a Green Cheek Conure. I put a couple of photos in the gallery of his first day home, although I'm looking forward to replacing them as he eats fresh veggies and pellets for a while....I imagine he'll be even more handsome than he already is!

Luigi is our first feather-head, so we're reading EVERYthing EVERYwhere. I think he's doing really well, but I'm a bit of a nervous wreck sometimes, lol. I have a few questions for you all, but I'll go easy on you at first. Our first visit to Luigi's new doctor is tomorrow for a Wellness Exam, so wish him luck! I think he just needs some better nutrition, but he seems overall fine. Fingers crossed

hi could someone give me some advice on food. i know parrots arn't supposed to eat peanuts but the food mix i get has monkey nuts in, are they meant to be in there? its the johnsons tropical parrot food i've been buying, should i try pellets?
