Hi all,
I've been interested in birds for years, but have only recently found myself in a position to actually consider acquiring my own. I don't have a bird yet, but I plan on getting one once I'm sure that my situation will be healthy for a bird to live in.
I am currently a student of biochemistry in Massachusetts. I spend plenty of my time studying, but I also spend a lot of my down-time singing! Perhaps that's why I've always been so fascinated with birds.
I'm currently looking for a bird to fit my lifestyle- cuddly, sociable, not too loud, and able to deal with me being in class for a good portion of the day. If you have suggestions, please let me know! I have more details about what I'm looking for in this post:

I'm so excited to learn from you all!:grey::greenyellow::green::blue2:

Hello and welcome! I welcomed you on your other thread as well, but twice is even better:) Nice to meet you!

I don't really have any advice to add you haven't gotten in your other thread already, but I at least wanted to say welcome to the forums!

Welcome to the forums, thanks for joining! I agree with the advice of cockatiel with the proviso of adequate filtration. While Tiels are commonly available, residing near a large city in Mass. ought to permit choices. Given your love of singing, a bird capable of vocalisation would be a plus!
