Hi! I'm Brian, I've started lurking around the forums because I've decided the time has come for me to finally get another macaw. I had a blue and gold in the early nineties that I handfed (something that I see has fallen out of favor), but he (never sexed) died when he was around 10.
I also grew up with a timneh african grey at my parents house.
Funny story, I went to the Bali Bird park last month and when the driver dropped us off he said it should only take about an hour to tour the facility. Well, 5 hours later they were kicking us out of the park because they were closing, haha! They had a great area where you can handle the macaws/CAG/eclectus and 2's (the 2's just want to be preened and not held) and after I saw the rest of the park I spent the remainder of the time until closing there.
