I'm 57 year old married man. I have 8 birds that keep me fully occupied. This is the first bird forum I've joined, some of you may remember me from the late 90's when I was over at the Pet Care Forum on AOL. Probably most of you won't. That's OK, just wanted to say hi.

I should also mention I have 5 cats as well. Animals keep me quite busy.

Thanks for the greeting. My avatar is my Blue & Gold Macaw, Harley. He's 11 years old. My oldest is now 20 and that would be my Double Yellow Head Max. One of the meanest, birds I've ever come across. I think his first 5 years of his life was very hard, but I know deep down inside he loves me. He does offer me kisses when I pick him up and has never tried to bite me in the face. He will take a shot at my fingers from time to time.

Great you have had birds most of your life, awesome. Bet you have some fascinating stories to share with us. I have only ever had African Grey's. I love their companionship, and their willingness to interact. Love many different species, especially the Macaw's and Umberella Cockatoo's.
You must have quite a few cages, to accommodate your birds.
By the sounds of Max, he was names after "mad max" LoL
