I'm new here.
I'm Cat, My fiance and I own a farm in Florida and have just adopted a 4 year old blue front amazon named Cocoa. My fiance had an amazon parrot while growing up so he knows much more than I do, so I joined to get some insight. Cocoa is very sweet and has a large vocabulary, some of it is even in polish. I can already tell we have made a good addition to our little family. The only other inside animal is my Sphynx, Nefertiti. There have been no issues between them at all. :)

Hi and welcome to the forum! There is all the information you could need here! How about some pics of Cocoa...we love pics!:D

Hello, welcome to the forum and Congratulations. How nice that Cocoa is bilingual and already has a lot to say. Looking forward to photos.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I love Cocoa so much already, what with us both being polish (her last owner had her for the majority of her life, but had a spinal injury and could no longer care for Cocoa) We are not sure of his/her sex yet, and he/she walks away from touching, we have not pushed the issue and Cocoa does take food from my hand, and has prodded my shoulder with his/her beak, so I have high hopes for an amazing relationship

My BFA Sassy does not like being touched. But that's ok...I keep trying and working with her. She may never like it. It is my understanding that they aren't usually a touchy/feely species...of course there are always exceptions. It amazes me how fast and hard we fall in love with our fids!:30:

Hello Cat and welcome! I would also love to see pictures of Cocoa:) It is so sad that Cocoa's previous home had to give him/her up under such tragic circumstances, but wonderful that Cocoa has found a home with you:)
