Hi my name is Betty and I am getting a new baby amazon in 10 days. The baby will be down to 2 feedings a day when it comes home. I hand raised a double yellow head amazon (Pee Wee) from 2 weeks old so I am not new to this. I had Pee Wee for 18 years until a raccoon grabbed him thru his outside cage and chewed off his wing, part of his chest and his leg. It was one of the saddest days of my life. It happened in 07 and I have not had a parrot since. I am very excited to get my new baby and looking forward to catching up on the new things in the hobby.

Oh how tragic how you lost your Pee Wee. I can't even begin to imagine how terrible that had to have been for you.

What type of Amazon are you getting, and do you have a name yet? You must be over the moon to be getting your new baby soon.
