Hi Everyone

My name is Alice, I have just bought a 6 month old hand reared galah and we have named him Harry (well we are hoping its a he! haven't got around to DNA testing him yet)

My husband and I live in New Zealand and this is our first 'pet' parrot although my husband did have an African Grey when he was younger living in South Africa and I have had Budgie and Cockatiels my whole life.

Looking forward to picking all your brains with the numerous questions that I'm sure I will soon have!

Still figuring out how the photo uploads work so not quite there yet lol

Galahs are also known as Rose Breasted Cockatoos, originate from Australia

You have to go into advanced mode and 3 icons to the left you should see a sort of gray picture(Between the smiley and undo button)

Click that button(you may have to click the black arrow and go to manage attachments), browse your desktop for the picture and upload it.

After which, go back to the gray button, find the "ID" to your picture and click it to post.

that cam is awesome! although at the moment I cannot see any birds as there is a cat sitting by the feed bowls washing itself haha

Thanks! Normally I'm not a pink person but I love his colouring!

They average around 14inches long and weigh 300-400grams. I would guesstimate that Harry is about at that now
