Parrots
Red Belly- Miu
(RIP Louie, Budgie)
I don't currently have a bird. (Don't exile me!!) I had a budgie before I went off to college, but it died while I was away. We were the best of friends.

Now that I'm graduating in a month, I'm ready to welcome another parrotfriend into my life. For months I had been planning on a Red Belly, but that might not work out afterall. I've been researching and forum-creeping for months now, and the only other parrots I could see myself owning are senegals, caiques, or ringnecks.

I hope to meet some great parrotlovers here to share info and experiences. (And get advice as I adjust to having a birdfriend again!)

Congratulations on graduating next month!!!! Welcome to a wonderful forum filled with great advice. I too voyeured this forum a long while researching what parrot would be a great fit for me . After careful deliberation I chose an Eclectus (Solomon Island) and I'm thrilled to say he's a perfect fit. I made a list of what I wanted from a parrot companion and what was a deal breaker for me. Perhaps you can do the same. I wish you the best in your endeavor!

Thanks! I'm verrrrry anxious to get out of school! I'm not sure which I'm more excited about: being released from school, or finally having time for a bird.
What was on your pros and cons list, if you don't mind me asking?

welcome to the forum :D there are lots of experienced people here who can really help you choose what might be you best match!
