Hi--I'm a newbie to this forum, who owns a 4.5 year old female Congo African Grey parrot named Aziza (which means "gorgeous" in Swahili) I still remember getting purchasing her and picking her out 4 years ago this past April, when she tried to climb up the front of my shirt. I then knew, in my heart, that a connection between Aziza and I had been formed right then and there. It was priceless. I'd go down to the Pet Store where I bought her, and visit her at least 2-3 times per week, until she was ready to come home. The people at the pet shop were wonderfully knowledgeable and helpful. They helped me pick out Aziza's cage, her toys, perches and food, and were loaded with lots of advice about what and what not to feed her, and many other things. Shortly before it was time for me to bring Aziza home, the owner of the pet store where I'd purchased Aziza delivered the cage to my home. I brought her home that afternoon.
It's been great having her around my house, she talks a blue streak, and I fully savor the joys of having Aziza as a wonderful companion and pet.
I reside in an artists' community, in a blue-collar city just outside Boston, MA.
I look forward to corresponding more with everybody here in the future.
