Hey there, have been looking for parrot forum for a while now. I've recently finished school and found myself with alot more time on my hands. Because of my love for birds, but lack of experience with them... I bought a locally bred pearled cockatiel (just over 3 months old now.) He was very good and really made my love for birds grow. I decided a few weeks after that to get a lovebird, and they are quite the little characters. The lovebird, despite having him weeks rather than months, loves neck rubs, loves being upside down (will let me flip him upside down and tickle his abdomen), loves nesting in my long-ish hair. They are very good pet parrots (I believe I am right in saying that?) and the climate I am in are perfect for them (I now work from home so I am in alot of the day.) I did want a bigger parrot but I am not ready for a 40 year commitment just yet.
I wanted to ask: I feed my lovebird and cockatiel vegetables daily (moring and night), they have their own herb garden (only bird friendly stuff: mango tree, bazil leaf, rosemary, coliflour) and in their cages they have seed mix. They also usually have a length of millet on the go. I wanted to get them both on a pellet diet, remove the millet (and use it as the treat for training them) and keep with the vegetables and fruit (and maybe give them more of it because of the millet going away.) Would you say that would be beneficial for my birds? or not?. Many thanks. And just wanted to say a quick "hi" as im new here :D

I think that combining pellet and veg and some seed is a good combination, welcome to the forum family
