Hi! We're from Australia and recently got a Green Cheek Conure who we named Hector. He is a total brat but we love him already. I've had fun learning about diet, behaviour and as a dog person I was pretty excited to hear you can clicker train these guys!!
The breeders did a great job with him, he lets you scratch him all over, spread out his wings and play with his feet. He's was a little nippy at the start, I guess he was just getting used to us and the new environment. The nipping has settled and now he does it either when he's sleepy or when he's cross at you for putting him back in the cage etc. That's a little naughty isn't it? We do try not to annoy him when he's sleeping, though.
Anyway, he's an awesome snuggly, loving little fellow who is right now harassing me. Can't wait to learn more about these birds
