Hello
My name is Terry and I live with my wife and now our new addition Cameo, a nine year old umbrella cockatoo. We adopted her from the aviary shelter in Neenah, Wi. She is very tame and loving especially to the males however we have more females living in the house than males. Three grand daughters, they`re mother and father. So our house is full of activity for Cameo to take all in. And she seems to love it all including the six year old grand daughter. At first Cameo was a bit defensive toward her but has found Shyanna is full of endless play. So when Cameo wants to play she is alway available. Cameo loves to be pet and will nudge your arm in order to get your attention.
I am looking to build a play gym and a training perch for Cameo. Since she spends alot of her time with me in my office at home she finds herself getting into trouble with my office equipment. Want to have her there but under control on her play gym staying active and not getting into trouble. Loves to talk up a storm especially when the phone rings.
We have adjusted to Cameo as well as Cameo has to us but still learning about eachother.
