Hello I'm new to parrot forum I've had 2 lovebirds (they flew out a open window :(. 1 cockatiel I got him from a bad store and he passed a year later from dome rare cold (we had him a year when we went to the vet they told us) lastly I had a demn conure and had a trainer come out but nothing worked. He bit my sisters ear and made it bleed so bye bye birdy :( I would really like to get elecutues out hand feed babies. And maybe later breed them. Me and my friend raised one but when he moved the bird came with him. Could you tell me anything about breeding elecutues and brooder temputure? I could not find anything about brooder temp. Thank you

Word of wisdom, be cautious! As much trouble as you've gone through and not having a whole lot of knowledge, I wouldn't advice you getting into breeding! There's so much more that could happen. Understand your birds first!

Welcome. I agree with Mikey. Do plenty of research! Breeding and especially weaning is no easy process! I think having an eclectus as a pet first and successfully owning a bird for awhile is a good start.

Welcome to the forum. :)

I agree with Mikey and Blanca. In order to SUCCESSFULLY breed any parrot, one should first get to know the species really well. Breeding parrots is quite a commitment.

Hi, I am new to the site and sought it out for one main issue. I am mom to Cosette, my 19 y/o Lilac Crowned Amazon. We have a SERIOUS issue with pantry moths in her room, and have for years but they are getting worse. I feed her Birdy Banquet along with seed from a reputable dealer and seed from a pet store (which I think might be the problem). Vacuum incessantly, spray with Aunt Norma's moth spray, set up traps, should I just dump the store bought seed? I keep it in the freezer which obviously makes no difference.
