Hey everyone, found this site after my search for info after purchasing a couple parakeets. We got them for our kids during our search for GCC's for myself.
We have one green one named Abbot Strangle and one blue one named Claptrap and have had a blast makeing toys for them the past couple days with the kids. I think there still adaping to the new home as they dont sqwak or chirp much at all yet, actually ive only heard em 2 twice since we picked em up.
Growing up we had a Macaw that used to be a clothing store mascot that they had to git rid of because it kept insulting the girls shopping. He was pretty fowl mouthed but i dont have much memory of him since it was about 30 years ago.
Im pretty new to parrots, never actually owned my own but am not new to birds so long as you consider chickens a bird lol
looking forward to our new adventures with our birdies, sharing them with you guys and hearing about all your adventures!!
