Hey everyone. So my name is Erin, and I have a million animals. You know...it starts out with a dog here, a bird there. Now I have 24 "pets". I don't have children, thus they are my kids.
One of the main reasons I joined this forum is I recently adopted two birds from my local animal welfare and one of them is just this amazing creature, but it seems locally, that no one knows much about them. He's a Patagonian Conure a.k.a. a Burrowing Parrot. I think he is the Greater, and not the Lesser, due to his massive size. Any information I can find on him would be extremely helpful.
Along with him I adopted a sweet, but naughty sun conure :orange: named Mango. The second I got her home, she began hand-perching and regurgitating on me (SO sweet!).
On top of that I have 12 American Budgies, 1 English Budgie, a Parrotlet, a Linnie, 2 dogs, three cats, a rabbit, and a three-toed box turtle.
Next week I'll be putting down the Ameican's to breed, so I'm sorry if I'm not the most attentive new member.
I can't wait to hear everyone's stories and learn some new information.

Hi Erin and welome to the forum, don't know that I've ever heard them refered to as lesser patagonians, only patagonians and greater patagonians, and of course the burrowing parrot, they definatly are large compared to most in the conure family, its funny to hear people talk about them that are not familiar with or have never seen them thinking they are actually small macaws, the only real difference that I'm aware of between the two are the greater is a few inche's taller and the white patches on the upper chest near the wings is more noticable, anyway Kudos to you for adopting your new fids(fids=feathered kids), and I wish you well with them, enjoy your stay here on the forum :)

Hi Erin, welcome to a great forum, with awesome members.
ONE QUESTION, is there place for you there, with so many animals, where do you find time for yourself??????????
I am not familiar with the Patagonian Conure, however I cam across a link pertaining to the bird species.

Patagonian Conure, Greater Patagonian Conure, Cyanoliseus patagonus

Hopefully other members will be able to assist you as well.

Enjoy your stay here, make yourself comfortable, it's a long journey :D

WELCOME!!! Oklahoma, huh? One of my favorite states :)

Where do you keep all your animals??? Holy Toledo. That's a lot of parrots. They all sound great with lovable personalities. We love pictures!!!!Especially me and Antoinette. Sooo, get that camera clicking ;)

As for breeding your budgies, not a problem with that. A few members on here breed. It's your choice, we're not going to tell you what to do :)

So, stick around, grab on, and enjoy the ride :)
