Hi! it's great to see you around. I've met several people from Australia and am soo envious definitly on my must visit list. Rocky is absolutly stunning!!! Feel free to ask away and keep us updated on his progress. Rainbow lorikeets are amazing little guys - the first time i fell head long into my love for birds was in a giant aviary of them at the san diago zoo. That was 9 years ago. Glad you found us.

G'day! Just wanna say Hi to all pet lovers. I owned an African Grey parrots, his name is "Chito". What I love most about him is he can talk and socialize with the entire family. Oh by the way, I'm new here, in fact this is my first thread post. I'm really hoping to learn more about African Grey, I have him for almost a month.

Welcome! Rocky is so colorful and beautiful, and looks like a happy little fellow too.

HI! Just wanted to say that it isn't actually called a 'rainbow'. It is a red collared lorikeet, another species often taken for a rainbow. They have a more aggressive nature and must not be housed with their cousins, the rainbow lorikeets. They are found in different habitats and areas from the rainbow. They can be classifyed as a subspecies.

Actually, it is a distinct species. I've looked it up in my Aussie bird book. ( Juniour ornithologist, lol )

Hi Sean from a fellow aussie, and also hello to craftsmaster. Sean you have a beautiful little feathered friend there. They make such great companions. My eclectus Jack is also my very 1st bird too.
Have fun on the site.
