My wife and I have kept Budgerigars for several years now and have recently acquired a 4 year old Military Macaw. It's a different world. We have learned so much in the week and a half that we've had Duckie. She's very happy and healthy. As witlih any macaw, I'm told, she's like a perpetual three year old human. 
She is a welcome addition to our family and Duckie, as well as our family, is adjusting well.
