Hi all!
I am Sophia. I am from New Zealand =D
I currently own one male Barraband (Barry, original i know but he already said "hello Barry" before i got him!) and one male Eclectus parrot (Nelson) who i actually pick up tomorrow!!!! Im a bit excited XD My partner also has a sulphur-crested cockatoo.

I was actually never a bird person until this year (special thanks to my partner) and i really surprised myself at how passionate i became about burdys XD

Anyway apart from birds I spend a lot of time with horses and dogs. I currently own two horses and two dogs.

Andy - 5yo Standardbred who is now my riding horse after breaking down as a racehorse. He is giant =D but very sweet.

Barney - 3yo Standardbred who is destined to be a racehorse who i will make millions from... yea... hopefully.

Arie - Catahoula X Greyhound X NZ Heading dog who is my main dog. I am training him in agility and also do some sheep work with him. He has one blue eye and the other is half blue and half brown =D

Sonic - NZ Heading dog. Will be trained and sold as a sheep dog for some pocket money. Well thats the plan...

Pictures? Of course...

What a beautiful animal family you have.

I'd never even heard of a barraband before. He's such an amazingly bright green. You can probably see him in the dark :)

Thanks =D

@Kimma they are also known as superb parakeets. They are Australian but i couldn't recommend them enough as a first bird or for children! I have no idea why they are not more popular and everyone i have met who has them or has had them agrees. They are great talkers for their size (despite much of what i read beforehand), are quiet and have lovely natures! When Barry gets angry he "pretend" bites and screams to let me know he is not happy but he very rarely bites with any kind of force. =D
