Heating parrot at night question

I have a therapeutic lavender scented rice heat pad I use for my neck I use it when my parrot is on my shoulder just fine but I'm wondering if it would be ok to tie it to my parrots cage during the night when it gets cold? Or will the scent bother him if he's around it that long? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I just ordered some heated perches off amazon...

I ont know about a scented heatpad, i guess it would depend on what chemicals the scent is made out of....

I wouldn't use anything scented with the birds. There's actually no need for heating pads or perches as they can adjust to temperatures just fine as long as it's not drastic change all of the sudden.

We have a heated perch and Rosie loves it. I have it a bit lower than her favorite but on cold mornings, she is there when I wake up. So I know she uses it and it gives me peace of mind. :)

Thanks for the replies I haven't used it yet I'm too worried about the scent so I suppose I could try the heated perch or get a non-scented rice pack. He does seem fine w nothing for heat I just feel bad I guess, being toasty under my covers and him just having a blanket thrown over his cage to keep out a draft, but maybe that's just being silly.
Thanks

I usually use olive oil, salt, pepper and a little garlic...oh, wait, you said HEAT, not EAT...my bad, carry on.

Like mikeytn said, I wouldn't use anything scented for your birds. They have a delicate respiratory system which can be easily damaged by the chemicals in a lot of scented stuff.

Keeping a blanket over the cage to keep out any drafts is sufficient :)
