Isolated Holler in the Appalachian Wilderness
Parrots
B&G Macaw, Galah, 5 cockatiels, 50 billion and a half budgies. We breed and do rescue. Too many to list each individual's name and age etc, but they are each individuals and loved dearly.
Fall and winter are fast approaching. This will be Alex's first cold season on the farm, and our heating situation is far from ideal or constant. The budgies did fine last year, but Alex is a lot older, and I'd rather not stress him with cold. I need a relatively safe heating option for him, radient panel, CHE, heated perch, whatever. Experienced advice would be lovely. Product links that can be shipped to a PO box even better.

Freedom is turning 32. Too young to need something like this? Or should we get her something anyway just to be on the safe side? TIA

I'm always recommend the sweeter heater sold on Amazon, a radiant heat panel. Ive used for 18 years and love

The above is a truly great product.
I do no like direct contact heat sources as controlling the heat is always problematic.
As I know you already know this point, but it can be a wake-up call to others reading this: Assure you have back-up electrical source like a generator.

I don't know how bad or cold your heat situation is but I use one of these for Nike.
K&H Manufacturing Snuggle Up Bird Warmer

My 260 yr old farmhouse get's down to the upper 50's over night and Nike snuggles next to this year round.
