or what Tookie and I refer to as "Dancing" just curious to know why he does this and is it natural and if so what does it really mean.....

When my Sun Conure does that it's usually when he is happy with something. Though recently this head bobbing/tapping ha been leading to regurgitation.

With my guy, while I totally understand the regurgitating is a sign of affection, it can also lead to mating behavior, which in turn can lead to aggressive behavior. So it's not something I try to encourage when it get's that far.

:D That's a happy gesture!! Another cute happy thing my Pea does is she will hop around in a circle - it is sooo cute and makes me laugh which then makes her laugh! Be prepared to get silly right along with your parrot... it makes for a great relationship. :09:

The Nanday Conure I used to have did it all the time. She used to dance all the time too. I just couldn't tolerate her screaming....

As far as my GCC goes:

Head bob up and down - excited (look at me, look at me).
Head bob in a circle - regurgitation (or displays of readiness).

I basically ignore or try to distract when the regurgitation display occurs, although to be honest I'm having a hard time putting him off. Hopefully it will calm down when spring is over.

Yes please listen to them. I had no idea. I was mimicking my bc conure and now we are a couple (lol) really it isn't funny because if someone stands to close to the cage by me will get a nip. And I was petting on the backside... I have learned so much since then but it is to late I have a boyfriend for life.

Bandit will often sit with one foot on his perch and the other on the side of the cage and bob his whole body up and down when I walk into the room. I always wondered what the deal was with that lol

I looked thru my videos and found one with a partial hopping - it's at the 1:29 mark on the video:
