So this evening the local ice cream shoppe, that has the best banana splits, was trying out a new parfait... Raspberry chocolate. So naturally I had to try it out. And as always Rhage accompanied me and my mother.
Like before Rhage wore his harness, the leash tied tightly to my wrist so he couldn't go anywhere, as we made our way to the window.
While waiting for our ice cream to be made, with Rhage's fruit cup waiting at the car, the owner of the place came out to say hello!!
And in true Rhage fashion, my boy was a total gentleman, other than him sneaking into her shoulder while my back was turned(which he was quickly removed from after a few photos). He stepped up when asked, said hello to everyone there, let strangers touch and hold him as they asked questions... And even made an in-school vet techs evening as he stood on her arm and talked her ear off!!
The whole time he was so cool about it! You could tell he genuinely enjoyed the attention. Rhage rode away with more socialization under his wing, and after talking about birds as companions(pros and cons) and the commitment they require, i think the people he interacted with walked away with some knowledge to put with the cool experience.
The owner asked to take some photos with him and post them to the businesses page. After I got home I noticed the photos His fun loving, sweet, and gentle personality shows so bright!
And boy did he not waste time diving into the parfait.
**PLEASE NOTE HE ONLY GOT A SMALL AMOUNT OF WHIPPED TOPPING!!***
I made sure to explain to everyone standing there birds can't really have dairy so he is only allowed a small amount before he gets his fruits.
Below are the photos the Shoppe posted
