Black Friday......Yeah, I'm staying in with Clark.....:gcc: There isn't a sale anywhere "that" wonderful even if it was free...

Pet stores might be ok though.....get your parrots some treats.

Ooooh, on that note, does anybody know of any online bird shop that has Black Friday sales now? Cairo's grandparronts want to ship his Christmas gifts soon, but I'm still trying to compile a list of safe yet affordable toys.

Hope no parrots were harmed in the queuing today haha

I use amazon and ebay usually but I've hit a few independent sites especially the parrot forums approved vendors.....I forget what color they get....

But I recommend this board. Good Deals - Parrot Forum - Parrot Owner's Community

It's from real (respected) members to members, not the occasional I made an account 2 minutes ago and I wanna spam this forum.....

isn't it orange? I forget the parrot forum vendor color.

There isn't anything I'd go out for in the crush of flu factories, and grumpy people. I need to get rid of stuff not get more!

Actually, Petco and PetSmart usually have stupid deals ONLINE too, but not in the stores...They do that all the time anyway, both of their in-store prices are insane, but their online prices are usually 40-70% less..I have no idea why they do that year-round, but they will price-match any of their own online prices at the register if you bring it up on your phone/tablet for them...I buy my UVB tubes at Petco, they are only 18" long and they cost $37.99 a piece in the Petco stores, but their online prices is always $18! So I take my phone in and they match it...what's the point of them doing this? It's crazy...my mom did this with a huge, plastic dog crate thing that had an in-store price at Petco of $300, and their online price was $90!!! I feel horrible for the poor saps that actually pat the $300..

Anyway, they both do some crazy online prices, but you probably still want to check Chewy, Amazon, and eBay too because their regular prices can be crazy...

50% off at mybirdstore.com for bird toys and 15% off food. I’d order soon they were sold out on a lot of things already last night.

Also if you order pretty bird pellets they are listed as 30% off. Then there is a code you can put in at checkout for an additional 20% off. At drsfostersmith.com for that one. It’s a 20lb bag. Same thing for some of the bird seed they have listed....i also got a 20lb bag of cockatiel seed haha

I haven't a clue what you are talking about. I have been married to a Professional Shopper for the vast majority of my life. Whether on-line or in-store she has done all the searching prior to her hooking a buy.

She states that Black Friday is over-rated. Like I stated earlier, I haven't a clue! I will add: Stand in Line Safely as a trip to the E.R. will steal all your savings.

Thanks, guys! I just fulfilled Cairo's Christmas shopping from the safety of our home half a world away!! :p

You'll never catch me participating in the mad rush to brick/mortar stores on Black Friday!

You've gotta be kidding me...Someone actually brought a gun with them shopping on Black Friday and shot/killed people over something they wanted to buy? What is wrong with the people in the US? It's like no one has any regard for human life at all anymore...And emotions like empathy are totally non-existent anymore as well. It's just disgusting. I don't get it...I've been in-line at Walmart, Target, Home Depot, wherever, and I've heard people who are in-line just start yelling horrible things at other people in-line, people they don't even know, they've never seen before in their lives, and they have no reason at all to say anything to them, but it's like they just have to be mean and nasty for the sake of doing it...I heard someone not that long ago who was standing behind me in-line at Walmart start making horrible comments at the person checking out because they were using an EBT Food-Stamp card to pay for their groceries...They had a bag of Doritos and this idiot behind me started yelling about how "if I'm going to pay for your food you need to not buy junk with my money!"...Just out of nowhere. I see/hear things like this all the time lately and I just don't get it...It would never occur to me to say anything to anyone like that...let alone actually pull out a gun and start shooting people in a store...I don't know why this person shot people in the mall, but I can only imagine that it had something to do with someone "skipping ahead in line" or "grabbing the last $70 LED TV"...unbelievable...

And you know what, whomever made the comment that "Black Friday deals aren't that great" is correct...I've always thought that about Black Friday....Like Walmart usually advertises some generic-brand TV on-sale for under $100...okay, so what, you get to buy a cheaply-made Television for under $100, so you're going to get up and get to Walmart by 3:00 a.m., stand in-line for hours because you have to wait until their "Black-Friday Sale" officially starts, and then you get the morons literally getting into fist-fights while trying to grab the last TV...My own father did this once in Walmart back when I was a kid, he went to buy a TV they had cheap and when he got there they were already gone by 5:00 a.m., he was pissed and going to leave, and then he saw some woman who had one of the TV's sitting on top of all the other crap in her cart...So my father, who I don't really talk to, you can imagine why, literally stalked this woman all around Walmart while she was shopping, and waited until she stepped away from her cart and had knelt-down on the floor to look at something, and when he saw that she was knelt-down and reading the label, he just grabbed the TV box right out of her cart and sprinted into another aisle, and then zig-zagged all through the Walmart, hiding and trying to lose the woman (who was yelling and screaming and trying to find him), and he grabbed an empty cart that was just sitting in an aisle and put the TV in the cart, and then grabbed a bunch of other stuff and threw it into the cart and over the TV box to try to cover it up so it couldn't be seen, or to make it look like he had been there shopping for hours and had grabbed the TV and put it in his cart hours before...And he got away with it...He made a B-line to the checkout lines and since this lady was looking for a man carrying the TV box and not one with a cart full of stuff, she walked right past him and didn't realize...It was sick...

Bottom-line anymore is that if you order your stuff online, the regular online prices are generally cheaper than the Black Friday in-store prices anyway...And you don't have to risk being shot, killed, getting into a fight, getting run-over, or being arrested...

Now I know why is is called "Black Friday"-> because it brings out the dark side in a lot of people?

It is almost if they need to purge before (in a months time) it is all about happy living together, worldpeace and hope for all of mankind.

Humans...

World peace may be a bit much to ask for, but if online shopping cuts down on the aggression, frustration, acting out etc.etc. ... we are doing something right ;)

I only went to CVS today because I really needed paper towels to clean up bird poop among other things. I can't live without paper towels and while not getting a great deal on them, no one killed me.

Also, I have a very minimalist style house, I don't like a bunch of crap everywhere. The last thing I want to do is wait in long lines to buy more junk that I don't need.

It has never been my thing to go... SO... My Baby Kise and I was watching birds' vids, eating and cuddling all day. She has got all the love.. ;)

I must said... ashamed of myself..... Because I was line up at Best Buy for all night (not Black Friday Day) once.. It was when the Wii first came out. It was on Sunday morning when the store was open.. you know. CA is always cold at night even in the summer time.

"Here I play Wii, broken the TV." :D:D:D

WHO remember playing Wii???? :p
