Happy Update on Coco

I think I have a happier and healthier boy and thought I would share. Lets see if I can get the pics up from this morning...

Coco ate his breakfast of chop like a champ and the weather is nice enough that I decided to see if he would try out the mister I bought for him... He seemed to enjoy it, he was flapping his wings and wiggling his tail feathers, making his happy birdie sounds and climbing all over the pvc stand i made for him (which he has never done). After sitting in the sun and preening we came inside and he started to play with a toy! This is a first, he really hasn't messed with his toys up to date.

Now its nap time apparently
I have noticed such a difference in him these last few weeks and it has been wonderful!

He DOES have me trained! To a certain extent
He likes his chop microwaved, but just a little.
He likes perching on my left knee when watching tv
And if he wants attention he whistles.

Ive been whispering when he screams, asking him to use his "inside voice" and almost ignoring him. So now if he REALLY wants my attention he whistles, and then he gets what he wants...

I giggled when I read about you telling him to use his "inside" voice because I tell my macaws the EXACT same thing, and whisper, too.

When Mishka is loud which is not very often I say in a soft voice shuuuuuu
Now if I speak to him too loudly he says "shuuuuuuu"
