I woke up early this morning and my sweet husband was making breakfast for everyone. The birds loved it, our U2 was playing his toy guitar. Apparently breakfast is better when Dad makes it?
Since you know about my birthday, I'll share this unusual gift. My father's birthday was March 21 so we always shared our birthday celebrations. He loved giving gifts and bought things in advance and stashed them away. He passed away on March 25th four years ago. My mom had been cleaning closets for the past couple of weeks, she came across a wrapped gift in the back of a closet, it was from Dad to me. It was a beautiful antique carved wood carousel horse with a card. It was a wonderful surprise that made me laugh and cry. My husband is making dinner for me this evening so I am having a great day and not feeling quite so old.
