Hand Raised Turquoisine Parakeet

Has anyone had any experience with a hand raised Turk? Is it one of those birds that just don't really want to interact with humans even if hand raised? There seems to be very little info of substance out there and what is there is not very helpful.

I've been asked to get my hands on one but if they don't make good companion birds then I will convince them otherwise.

My scale for birds:-

Companion:- Willing to be interacted with by human. Will like to sit with you and hang out. Can be returned to cage without having to catch them.

Pet:- Will interact with you but from behind cage bars. Doesn't really want much if anything to do with humans at all. Has to be caught to get back into cage if let out.

Aviary:- You can look at them maybe talk to them but zero interest in humans and will actively try to get away even when separated by cage.

I've never interacted with a hand fed or hand raised turquoisine, but I imagine they would be like any other grass keet. Most are good companion birds that enjoy spending time with their human companions. Not necessarily a very hands on bird but will step up and sit on your shoulder and watch what you are doing and maybe try to "help".

From what little I have been able to find no one really bothers to hand raise them as they are considered aviary birds. Maybe they are too flighty for a companion parrot?

I don't see how they would really be any different than any other similar grass keet. I've seen and interacted with hand raised bourkes and scarlet chested parakeets that were sweet. Turquoisine are similar, and I think that people are starting to realize that these small keets have more to offer than just appearance. Honestly as time goes on, I think they will become easier to find hand raised.
