Hahn's Macaw
I got my first parrot, a Hahn's macaw. He is a 1 year old male with paperwork and everything. He bites everyone but me, ive only had him for 2 days so maybe he just needs to settle in. He steps up if he wants to, and goes strait to my shoulders. He doesnt really like coming down, it takes a lot of coaxing and he doesnt step down willingly. He also likes to crawl under the newspaper in his cage, which i thought was odd. he can say a handful of sound effects and words. But if anybody has any advice on how to get him to step up/down and how to socialize him to others i would really appreciate it. also some advice for tricks would be nice
thanks

Also, if anybody has advice on bird mannerisms and body language that would be much appreciated. He often stands on one leg, he rubs his beak on my shoulders really fast when hes on them, he also does that in his cage. he also likes to stand on my shoulders and call out while he shakes his head forward and backwards.

my Hahn's is nippy with everyone and will lunge at me almost every time I walk by his cage. He will bite if asked to step up on my hand but steps up well on a stick. He doesn't bite if he walks up the stick and climbs on or flys and lands on me. I've read Hahn's tend to be nippy and could be your bird wants to be a one person bird, or just needs time to settle in, 2 days isn't much time for him to do so

Standing on one foot is usually just them resting, beak rubbing is them cleaning/ grooming their beak
