GW Macaw, CAG, eclectus (Kiwi- RIP)
I knew that they will, on occasion, regurgitate or try to feed human members of their flock, but with our GW it has become more frequent in the past week or so. Actually it happens almost every time I go to her, grab one of her foot in my hand or start to pet her on the head or neck...

It sounds normal to me. It's a friendly gesture, especially when you are interacting with her.

Paco regurgitates if I talk on the phone in front of him. What up with that?

I get it daily from both of the macaws, sometimes several times a day. So I'd say it's normal with a friendly bonded bird.

Less often from the amazons, but it does occasionally happen.

Tusk shares his with Lila, and vice versa.

I get it when I come home from work every evening.

He also feeds his bell before he goes to sleep at night. Pulls it across his Perch and scoots up next to it. Crazy bird LOVES that bell

Im glad Im reading this thread . My new Scarlet is starting to do that and actually bring up food. Im not used to them actually following through.

I ALWAYS THANK THEM POLITELY, AND THEN TELL THEM I'M NOT HUNGRY... THEY CAN EAT THAT, THANK YOU.

I'm so used to macaws puking on me, that it's part of my definition of "normal."

In fact, the first bird that greets me in the morning is Sweepea, and she always insists on giving me a treat... then wants hers!

Yeah , same here with my Scarlet its normal daily think. She also does it with her favorite toy . She also sleeps with her toy , holding it just like a kid.

Well, your posts are reassuring. So, I understand that it’s not abnormal for it to happen every day... I was beginning to wonder because this “daily feed me attempt” behaviour has only started recently. Before that, it was just once in a while.
