Milo is grounded. He just said "shut up".
In our house, trying to teach manners to our 7 & 3 year olds, that's a "bad word".

My kids are going to CRACK UP when they (inevitably) hear it.

Thats too funny! I'll be surprised if mine doesn't learn that one too. I say it way too much!

HAHAHA.... did you teach him that.. If not, he might have much more in store for you...

LoL that is funny mamada...... must sound so cute

Watch the video below, he obviously did not want to answer me, and wanted me to be quiet so..........
I actually taught him to say it. We do not say shut up in our home.
You have to admit it a bird saying it is AWESOME

My conure seems to have picked up every cuss word even if she heard it only once. And I think half of them came from TV as they are words I never say. I caught my ex bf saying the F bomb to her. I made him stop, but a few months later she said it to a friend I have that she doesn't like.

The first time my sister's Meyer's stayed here for the weekend, I learned immediately that he only knew 3 words but one was "Dang it" (only not that, you know the real version). As soon as she left he said, "Hey, Murray" and my BC yelled, "Hi!". Then he said, "Dang it!" and my Nanday cussed back. This went on over and over the entire first night. I had a new bf then who came for dinner. He asked, "Are those birds saying what I think they are?" and I had to answer, "Unfortunately, yes."

When my sister returned I asked if she knew Murray said that word and she said no, he doesn't! A few weeks later she emailed me and told me he said that. I said yes, I know, I told you that when he was here. Then she accused me of teaching it to him! I said, nope, I don't say it, and he started with it one minute after you left.

It turned out I did teach him to say "Pretty" while he was here, lol!

None of mine has ever said "shut up" though, lol! I guess they have never heard it though. Sounds like a kid back talking mom!

Only a matter of time now before Milo picks up, "Sorr-EEE!" that apology-that-the-child-really-doesn't-mean.

Our Grey belches then excuses himself (Sorry!) in a little girl's voice - and attitude. We don't have any little girls here. But there were 2 in his prior home . . .

I'm so worried about what kevin is going to learn. I watch a lot of south park and i'm in the middle of boardwalk empire which is just as nice. Our house is small so no matter where the cage is she's going to hear it. I guess she has to be polite because she'll have some language. xD
Can you make a bird comprehend it's not nice?

i guess since birds can understand what they are saying, I'm sure its possible :) Alex the african grey once apologized for biting, and when he was at the vets and his owner had to leave, he kept saying " I'm sorry come back" so i guess it could be done :)

Puck's previous owner said that he would say "***** ***** *****" quite audibly, but I haven't heard him say it. I guess she would say it sometimes when getting off the phone, haha.

Puck isn't a big talker, so his "curse words" are his angry sounds and biting. I tell him "No! Don't talk to me in that tone of voice, young man!" It seems to calm him down, lol.

Lol, the forum corrected the word he said. It's the b-word.
