Warning: pictures below rated PG. :D

While the boys were out tonight, of course they were hanging out for Christmas at their favorite spot... Raven's house ;). I heard my budgie Twigs making adorable sounding low volume peeps and squeaks. I looked to find him, and there he was inside the cage while Ruppell's parrot Griffin was outside the cage... They were kissing each other between the bars!!

I looked closer, and I actually saw their little tongues touching!! :11: They were French kissing!! I quickly got the phone camera out, and I could swear Griffin started looking a little self conscious (embarrassing being caught with a budgie) lol. The pics aren't very good, but I had to hurry.. they kept stopping and giving me dirty looks like I was interrupting their private time together

We need pictures!!!!! :)

The parakeets that we used to have were all boys, they would go after the boy cockatiels and feed them. The cockatiels accepts it graciously....I just watch them and ummmm ok.....

Ok Michael here's the pics :). Too bad they aren't better. I couldn't get a close up of their faces while they were doing it LOL

I really think parakeets would go after any bird species thinking they're a potential mate....lol....

Uh oh! Now Julie, I know you may be thinking "not my birds" but that party house is really getting out of control:p Next thing you know they'll get their talons on one of those tiny bottles of vodka and be smoking 'out back' in the jolly ball where mom won't catch them. Old man Robin may put them in their place, bu maybe his inner party bird might come out too:54: lololol.

Haha yeah I don't think Twigs is very particular about 'who' he gets intimate with .. Budgies have that reputation after all, look how prolific they are!

It's sweet how careful Griffin is with Twigs. I think he knows how tiny and delicate he is. Once he got mad at Twigs and caught him by the wing for a few seconds, it nearly gave me a heart attack, but he didn't hurt him although he easily could have crunched his wing right off! I do watch them as closely as is possible, and although the risk is there, the benefit outweighs the risk to let them mingle than keeping Twigs unhappy in his cage! Twigs loves his time out with the parrots, you can see how happy it makes him.

LOL April, the Jolly Ball hahaha!! Is that where I'm going to have to keep an eye out? So far Robin still doesn't want to use that thing :( I know... nothing surprises me, I have juvenille and teenage boys! I'll have to watch for little cigarette butts in there :D! Old man Robin just shakes his head and ignores their antics.

Scandalous :eek::eek::03: !!!
This probably works better for you as blackmail when Twigs and Griffin don't cooperate with you!

Aww, how cute!

Really awesome pics Julie, particularly the last one!! It is so interesting to watch interspecies mingling.

Perhaps you could sell them to the National Enquirer, suitable for placement on the front cover! They'll fill in a racy title!

Awww, that's adorable! Im glad to see Twigs and Griffin have bonded.

These pics are adorable! Looks like true love to me:)

Thanks! :D I'm glad I was able to get some sort of pictures even blurry ones, I thought it was hilarious to see!

It's intersting that Griffin being a Poicephalus is so social with Raven and Twigs. Poi's are typically aggressive and antisocial towards other birds (that's why Robin has no bird friends lol).

That's so cute,it's great you were able to get pictures!
