Hi, I just got a Golden Conure that is 5 months old and is not yet fully weaned. It also constantly chitters every few seconds all day long. Is this normal for a baby Golden Conure? He does play and eat in his cage and loves to cuddle but even while cuddling he chitters and flicks his wings simultaneously.
Thanks,
Juan :yellow2:

Welcome and be welcomed. Golden conure are oNE of my favorite parrots! Parrots in general are noisy, even when just hanging out, at least mine have been. Salty in particular likes to mumble to him self, practicing words and sounds.

Please post some pics, we have very few Golden conures on the board.

The wing taps are normal baby bird..if that's his sound just keep an eye on him baby birds are strong but just fragile in the one breath, you'll end up with a beautiful bond ,. I raised our macaw from 2 months last spring.. there so much fun...my bird is free flight trained now as well so we go on lovely walks as well..but theres a lot of training in it..
